Strip away the colours and photos and a typical row holds four things: a picture, a price someone saw on the day they added it, a category, and a link. The link is the only part that matters for buying. A KakoBuy link wraps the original marketplace address: kakobuy.com/item/details?url= followed by the encoded Taobao, Weidian or 1688 address. We opened a Weidian item in exactly that format on KakoBuy's live site on 12 October 2026, and it showed the yuan price, a dollar estimate and an estimated international shipping figure.
Because the item number belongs to the marketplace, the same row works with any open agent, and it outlives the sheet it came from. Our KakoBuy link converter unwraps a KakoBuy link into the original address and back. Treat a sheet as a list of marketplace listings; the KakoBuy part of each link is just the doorway.
Four checks before you pay for a row
- Does it open? A page with a price and options means the listing is live. "Item not found" usually means the seller removed or relisted it.
- Do the options still match? Sellers rename sizes and colours when they restock. If the option in the sheet is gone, read the seller's chart before choosing.
- Has the price jumped? Compare the yuan price with the sheet. A big difference often means a different item behind the same photos.
- Can it travel to you? Batteries, perfume and magnets need special lines, and trademark-infringing goods can be seized by customs anywhere.

What KakoBuy's estimator quoted to five countries
A light haul often costs more to ship than to buy, so look at shipping before you fill a cart. On 12 October 2026 we entered 500 g, 1 kg and 2 kg into KakoBuy's estimator for each of our five markets, with no box size and no goods type. The lowest quote at each weight:

For one or two light items the UK and EU are cheap; for the US, budget roughly as much for shipping as for a mid-priced item.
What you pay KakoBuy besides the item
KakoBuy's help centre says it charges no handling fee: an order costs the item, the seller's domestic delivery to KakoBuy's warehouse in Xiamen (one help article says Guangdong), international shipping and customs charges, with the declaration "generally RMB 8.00" per parcel. Everything else is optional and priced in yuan.

Payment runs through PayPal (cards included), Alipay, WeChat Pay or a Wise transfer; KakoBuy's two PayPal articles quote different PayPal fees, 3.5% and 2.9% plus $0.30. Whatever the method, pay per order and don't leave money waiting in an agent account. The fee line is honest; the savings come from line choice, parcel size and coupons on shipping.
Is KakoBuy safe to use right now?
When we checked on 12 October 2026 KakoBuy was operating normally. Its Trustpilot page showed 4.2 from 321 reviews, with 20% one-star and no replies to negative reviews. KakoBuy itself has announced several incidents over the years: delivery delays in late 2023, a tracking outage fixed in September 2025, and some QC images shown wrongly between 2 and 8 May 2026. The mid-August 2026 downtime was described by rep.tools as brief, with no evidence for raid claims.
One detail worth knowing: KakoBuy names three different companies in three official places, a US address on its About page, a UK company in its Service Terms and a Hong Kong developer on the App Store. Fixing a dead or broken row
Most dead rows fail for one of three reasons. The seller removed the listing: search the shop name on the marketplace and look for the same photos. The row was copied from a closed agent such as CNFans or PandaBuy: the original address is often still inside the old link, and the converter pulls it out. A dead row is usually a dead wrapper, not a dead item; keep the marketplace address and it can be rebuilt.
KakoBuy spreadsheet questions
Is a KakoBuy spreadsheet run by KakoBuy?
No. We read 142 help articles plus its announcements on kakobuy.com on 12 October 2026 and found no official KakoBuy spreadsheet. The sheets are made by buyers and creators who paste marketplace listings into KakoBuy's link format. That is why quality varies so much: some are updated weekly, others still carry 2024 rows. Judge each sheet with a few sample rows before trusting the rest of it.
Is KakoBuy still working after the August outage?
Yes, as of 12 October 2026. KakoBuy's site loaded normally, and it published a September event on 7 September and a Halloween event on 9 October. A status board run by rep.tools, which earns a KakoBuy affiliate commission, described the mid-August problem as brief website downtime and found no evidence for the raid or shutdown claims that circulated on TikTok afterwards.
What does it cost to ship 1 kg from KakoBuy?
It depends on the country and line. On 12 October 2026 KakoBuy's estimator quoted, for 1,000 g with no box size, $16.29 to the UK, $23.70 to Germany, $26.89 to Spain, $23.49 to Canada on its 7–18 day HD Line and $38.07 to the US. Add about ¥8 for the declaration, and for Germany or Spain KakoBuy's €3 per parcel, added to shipping at checkout.
How long can items wait in KakoBuy's warehouse?
KakoBuy's storage rules give 100 days free from the day an item is stored, with a reminder email at 90 days. After that items count as abandoned unless you pay ¥10 per order for each extra 30 days during a 30-day cooling-off period. Plan one parcel per batch of rows and ship before day 90 to keep a margin.
Why do rows in an old KakoBuy spreadsheet stop working?
Mostly because the seller deleted or relisted the item, changed the size names, or the row was really another agent's link copied into a KakoBuy sheet. If the original Taobao, Weidian or 1688 address is still in the row, paste it into the link converter to rebuild the KakoBuy link. If only a shortened link remains, open it once and copy where it lands.
Can I order without a KakoBuy account?
