When GTBuy is worth opening beside KakoBuy
GTBuy is labelled Open on our agents hub: its homepage answered on 12 October 2026. The label does not endorse it. It matters here because the same marketplace listing can be bought on either site.
- Suits: an unpaid Weidian or Taobao row where you want a second shipping quote.
- Suits: a buyer who wants a priced video of an item, which GTBuy lists at ¥7.
- Does not suit: items already in KakoBuy's warehouse, or anyone who needs a long reputation to lean on.
A cheap second quote, not a place to park a big haul.

Photo and video add-ons priced against KakoBuy
GTBuy prints the cost of extra evidence, which KakoBuy only half does. Take a hypothetical order that wants three extra photos and one video. At GTBuy that is 3 × ¥1 + ¥7 = ¥10, about $1.40 at ¥1 ≈ $0.14. On KakoBuy the same three photos cost 3 × ¥2 = ¥6, about $0.84, and we found no video price in its help pages. KakoBuy's parcel photos before sealing, after sealing and on the scale are free if you tick the box.

Cheap either way; the video is the real difference.

Duty and shipping for US, UK and EU buyers
The destination sets the tax, not the agent. KakoBuy's estimator quoted $39.28 for 1,000 g to the US on its USPS Tax-Free Line on 12 October 2026, with no dimensions entered; see the US page for the full list. We did not find GTBuy's lines or prices in our sources, so request its estimate at the same weight before moving an unpaid row. Payment options other than cards are listed for GTBuy only by third-party guides, which we could not confirm.

What does a GTBuy item link look like?
Third-party link tools give the pattern gtbuy.com/product/2/ followed by the item id. We have not confirmed what the digit 2 means, so do not guess it for other marketplaces. The safe method is to paste the original Taobao, Weidian or 1688 address into GTBuy's search box and let the site build its own page.
Does GTBuy charge a service fee on Weidian rows?
GTBuy's own pages list 0 fee for Taobao, Tmall, 1688 and Weidian, read on 6 October 2026. Weidian rows are the ones most KakoBuy spreadsheets contain, so that matters. Item price, domestic freight and international shipping still apply, and we did not find a customs declaration charge in the pages we read.
How much do extra photos and video cost at GTBuy?
GTBuy charges ¥1 for an extra photo and ¥7 for a video. Three extra photos plus one video come to ¥10, about $1.40. KakoBuy charges ¥2 per personalised photo and, in the help pages we read, lists no video price, so GTBuy is cheaper for photos and the only one of the two with a stated video fee.
When does GTBuy destroy stored items?
GTBuy gives 90 days of free storage and says items are destroyed after 120 days. KakoBuy gives 100 days, then a 30-day cooling-off period in which the parcel cannot be submitted until you pay ¥10. Put the GTBuy date in your tracker first, because its window is shorter and its cut-off is firm.
Is GTBuy's Trustpilot record large enough to trust?
It is small. On 6 October 2026 GTBuy showed 4.2 from 30 reviews, the newest dated 20 August 2026; a reading the day before had 15. KakoBuy showed 4.2 from 321 reviews on 12 October. That is a thin base for trust, so use a cheap first order, pay per order, and keep your order screenshots.
Can I move a row that KakoBuy already bought?
No. Once KakoBuy has paid the seller, that item belongs to the KakoBuy order, so GTBuy cannot receive it. Only unpaid rows, or ones the seller has not yet dispatched, can switch agents, so the order matters. Before paying anywhere else, always check that the seller's original listing is still live and in stock.
