The productLink swap, step by step
Both agents accept a marketplace address wrapped in their own URL. KakoBuy's wrapper is kakobuy.com/item/details?url=; Sugargoo's, per our link notes of 5 October 2026, is sugargoo.com/#/home/productDetail?productLink=. The encoded text after each equals sign is the same kind of string, so the swap is mostly a cut and paste.

Sugargoo's fee page against the older claims
Sources disagreed on a Sugargoo commission: a third-party reading suggested roughly 5%, others said none. The agent's own fee page settles it for now, listing item cost, shipping and ¥8 packing per parcel, with no service fee. We treat that as the current rule and still advise reading the order summary. The label on our agents hub is Open, checked 12 October 2026.

The two ¥8 lines are different charges, a packing fee and a declaration, so Sugargoo's might sit on top of a declaration we did not see; compare final totals. Conversion uses ¥1 ≈ $0.14.
Official page says no service fee; the ¥8 packing line is the only extra.

Who this backup suits, and who should skip it
- Suits: buyers who want seven photos and a simple link swap.
- Suits: a second account for rows KakoBuy cannot load.
- Does not suit: buyers who weigh review scores heavily, or anyone with a paid KakoBuy order, since those goods stay with KakoBuy.
Fine for unpaid rows; pointless for a haul already stored at KakoBuy.
Customs and delivery from the buyer's side
Duty rules follow your country, not the agent. In the US the $800 duty-free level ended in 2025. In the EU a flat €3 per tariff category applies to parcels up to €150 from 1 July 2026, and KakoBuy absorbs the rest at €3 per parcel. KakoBuy's estimator on 12 October 2026 quoted $39.28 for 1,000 g to the US on its USPS Tax-Free Line; see our USA page. We have no Sugargoo line prices. What is the Sugargoo link format?
Sugargoo item pages follow sugargoo.com/#/home/productDetail?productLink= and then the URL-encoded marketplace address. KakoBuy does something similar, with kakobuy.com/item/details?url= before the encoded address. Copy the encoded part from the KakoBuy link and paste it after productLink=, then check the page shows the same photos, price and variants as the spreadsheet row before you pay for anything.
Does Sugargoo charge a service fee?
Its fee page, read on 6 October 2026, lists the item price, shipping and a ¥8 packing charge per parcel, and no service fee. Earlier third-party material suggested about 5%, so the sources conflicted, and we trust the official page while still reading the order summary. KakoBuy states no handling fee and generally ¥8 customs declaration per parcel.
How many free QC photos does Sugargoo give?
Sugargoo's Free Service page lists 7 free photos, described as 5 plus 2. KakoBuy's help centre does not publish its free count, though community estimates say 3 to 5, and extra KakoBuy photos cost ¥2 each. For a pair of shoes or a bag, seven photos is the more generous published figure.
Is Sugargoo's Trustpilot score worse than KakoBuy's?
Slightly. On 6 October 2026 Sugargoo showed 3.4 from 641 reviews, with the newest dated 16 September; KakoBuy showed 4.2 from 321 on 12 October. A score that low deserves a look at recent complaints, but it is not proof of failure. Pay per order and keep your first test order small.
How long does Sugargoo store my items?
Our notes give 100 days, the same as KakoBuy, but that figure comes from a 5 October 2026 review of agent terms and we did not find an extension price. KakoBuy gives 100 days free, a reminder email at day 90 and then ¥10 per order per 30 days. Confirm Sugargoo's current figure on its help page before batching a large haul.
Should I move a paid KakoBuy order to Sugargoo?
No. A paid order and its stored items stay with KakoBuy, and our notes describe no way to transfer goods to another agent. Use Sugargoo only for unpaid rows or ones that errored at KakoBuy. If a KakoBuy order itself is stuck, contact KakoBuy support first and use its 5-day return window if an item is wrong.
