The short answer, and what it rests on
KakoBuy is a functioning business, not a vanishing storefront. Its website was loading normally on 12 October 2026, it posted event notices in September and October 2026, and it keeps a public record of past failures, including apologies.
The same evidence shows where the risk sits. KakoBuy has not been free of delays, its company details do not match across pages, and its Trustpilot page shows one in five reviewers giving a single star. Searches such as "is kakobuy safe", "kakobuy scam", "kakobuy reviews" and "es confiable kakobuy" all point at the same question, and the answer on this page is the same for each. If you came from a row on the KakoBuy spreadsheet, the question that matters is narrower: will this order reach you, and what happens if it does not?
Real and operating, with a mixed service record; manage the risk instead of assuming none.
Three company names in three official places
Most agents give one legal name. KakoBuy gives three, each on a different official page, and we found no page that explains how they relate.
| Where | Name shown | Detail shown |
|---|---|---|
| About page | EVERYDAY GO INC | 1500 N Grant St #11646, Denver, Colorado, US; footer © 2022–2026 |
| Service Terms | ANXIN SHOPPING CO., LTD | Company number 16947583, Beckenham, United Kingdom; terms governed by UK law |
| Apple App Store (US) | Everyday Go Co., Limited | Developer address in Mong Kok, Hong Kong |
A Denver address of that style is typical of a registered-agent service rather than an office, and KakoBuy does not say otherwise. The UK entity matters most for a dispute, because the Service Terms are written under UK law and the contact route is Service@kakobuy.com.
KakoBuy's About page lists Taobao, Jingdong, UPS International and PayPal as partners; treat that as self-description. For the money side, see our fee breakdown.
Three names do not prove a problem, but nobody explains them, so test with a small order.
Trustpilot: 4.2 from 321 reviews
On 12 October 2026 the Trustpilot profile for kakobuy.com showed a TrustScore of 4.2 across 321 reviews. Of those, 280 were posted in the last 12 months, which means the page reflects current service rather than a 2023 backlog.
| Stars | Share | Approximate reviews of 321 |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | 69% | 221 |
| 4 | 6% | 19 |
| 3 | 3% | 10 |
| 2 | 2% | 6 |
| 1 | 20% | 64 |
The split is lopsided: very good or very bad, little between. Two details on the page deserve attention. Trustpilot says KakoBuy "hasn't replied to negative reviews", and that it has no recent history of asking customers for reviews, which argues against a review-gating campaign. The newest critical reviews, from late September and early October 2026, mention delivery near 20 days and an insurance claim left unpaid after a 70-day delay.
A 4.2 with 20% one-stars is a solid average hiding a real tail of delays.
Incidents KakoBuy announced itself
A useful check on any agent is whether it admits failures. KakoBuy does, in dated notices you can read in full on its announcement pages.
- 5 December 2023: an apology letter about slow lines in autumn 2023 that it said touched 10 to 15% of its users. Compensation was a share of the shipping fee (20% insured, 10% uninsured) plus a ¥200 voucher for badly late parcels, and several logistics providers were replaced.
- 24 September 2025: the tracking feature came back after an overloaded interface server.
- 11 May 2026: a notice about QC pictures dated 2 to 8 May 2026 that showed wrongly or not at all. KakoBuy blamed warehouse-side upload permissions misused by outsiders and says accounts, orders, payments and addresses were not affected.
The mid-August 2026 episode is murkier. rep.tools, whose agent board we read on 31 August 2026 (the site says it earns KakoBuy affiliate income), described brief downtime and then TikTok claims that KakoBuy had been raided or was closing. rep.tools said nothing supported those claims. KakoBuy published no outage notice that we could find, and we have no exact dates. The outage log follows each case.
Admitting delays is a good sign; the lack of any August notice is a gap.
What legit does and doesn't cover
An agent is a middleman: it buys from a Chinese seller on your behalf, stores the item, inspects it and ships it. Being legitimate as an agent speaks to whether it will do those steps. It says nothing about whether the thing you bought is good, or lawful to import.
The warehouse inspection does not grade finish quality or authenticity. KakoBuy's terms prohibit goods that infringe trademarks or copyright, and its help centre carries a policy page against such goods, so a row that sells trademark-infringing goods puts you at risk of seizure by customs, with no guaranteed refund. KakoBuy's help centre also says it cannot guarantee against customs problems such as returned parcels, fines or tax, and that the client bears those costs.
So split the risk in two: agent risk (will KakoBuy deliver and fix mistakes) and product risk (is the item what the row claims, and is it legal to import where you live). This site covers the first in depth; for the second see the QC photos guide and the customs notes on each country page.
Legit describes the agent; the goods and the customs outcome stay your responsibility.
A risk-reduction checklist for your first order
- Pay per order. KakoBuy's help pages talk about an account balance; our advice is to pay per order and per parcel at the moment you place each, so nothing sits with an agent.
- Start small. Make the first order one cheap item, to see QC photos and tracking first.
- Buy insurance on parcels you cannot afford to lose. Kako Insurance covers delay, customs hold and loss or damage; on an uninsured parcel KakoBuy says its part in a carrier loss is limited to assisting. See the insurance page.
- Film the unboxing. KakoBuy's receipt rules ask you to inspect a damaged parcel in front of the courier and to tell support about an abnormal parcel inside 72 hours after signature.
- Use official domains only. Reach support through the site chat or Service@kakobuy.com only.

Questions buyers ask
Is KakoBuy a scam?
Nothing we found points to a scam. The site loaded normally on 12 October 2026, posted event notices in September and October 2026, and carries Trustpilot reviews as recent as late September. What does exist is service risk: a December 2023 apology for delays that hit as many as 15% of users and a Polish reviewer's unpaid insurance claim. Spread your exposure by paying per order.
Why does KakoBuy list three different company names?
KakoBuy names EVERYDAY GO INC in Denver on its About page, ANXIN SHOPPING CO., LTD in its UK-governed Service Terms, and Everyday Go Co., Limited of Hong Kong as App Store developer. That can reflect a group structure, but KakoBuy does not explain it. So the practical test is not the name on a footer: it is whether your own orders and refunds go through.
Is KakoBuy safe to pay with PayPal or a card?
KakoBuy's help centre lists PayPal, which accepts Visa, Mastercard, Amex and JCB, plus Alipay, WeChat Pay and Wise. Paying through PayPal keeps a dispute route open if an order goes wrong, though KakoBuy's pages disagree on its fee (3.5% or 2.9%, each plus $0.30). Pay for each order and each parcel when you place it, and never park spare money in the account.
Are KakoBuy's Trustpilot reviews trustworthy?
Read them as a sample, not a verdict. The 4.2 score rests on 321 reviews, 280 of them from the last 12 months, and Trustpilot notes that KakoBuy has not replied to negative reviews and has no recent history of asking for reviews. Still, 20% are one-star, mostly about slow delivery and an insurance claim. Sort by newest and check the dates.
Does 'legit' mean KakoBuy protects me from bad products?
No. Legit describes the agent, not the goods. KakoBuy's warehouse checks colour, size and big damage, but its terms ban trademark-infringing goods, and parcels containing them can be seized by customs with no refund route. Check what a row actually sells before ordering, and open the QC photos within the 5-day return window.
