What KakoBuy itself says about Reddit and Discord
KakoBuy names both platforms in its own text, and that is the only solid ground for "official". Its homepage links a Discord server. A 2 May 2023 announcement about PayPal returning invited users to join the Discord, and the 5 December 2023 apology letter said that for more compensation activities users should "follow Kakobuy's Reddit and Discord".
That is where the official statements stop. KakoBuy does not publish a subreddit name, a member count, a moderator list or a Discord role list in the help centre or the announcements we read on 12 October 2026. We therefore print no numbers for either community. If a site claims "40,000 members" or "verified staff", ask where the figure comes from.
For a spreadsheet holder the practical question is smaller: where do I look for news, where do I look for photos, and which messages should I never answer? The table below sorts those out.
KakoBuy points to Reddit and Discord; it publishes no subreddit name or community statistics.
Channel table: what each is good for
| Channel | Good for | Caution |
|---|---|---|
| kakobuy.com announcements (tipdetail pages) | Dated notices: events, coupon-pack rules, incident reports, duty changes | Event posts can contain codes; read the rules, redeem only in User Center |
| KakoBuy help centre | Fees, storage, QC scope, insurance, returns | Some articles contradict each other or are outdated |
| Official Discord (link on the homepage) | Event news, giveaways, community questions | Spoofed invites and look-alike servers; DMs from "support" |
| Haul posts, size comments, shipping-time reports | Posts can carry a poster's commission link; DMs offering "sheets" | |
| TikTok, YouTube, Instagram | Unboxing videos; KakoBuy events ask for these posts | Creator links often sit in the bio or comments; check the destination domain |
| Live chat and email on kakobuy.com | Order, refund and claim questions, 8:00-20:00 Beijing time | Use only the chat on the real domain |
For spreadsheet links shared in chats, see our guide to Telegram, Beacons and Discord spreadsheets and the page on Reddit thread types.
Announcements and the help centre are for facts; Discord and Reddit are for colour.
How KakoBuy has used Discord in its announcements
Discord shows up in KakoBuy's announcements as a place where events run, which is useful to know when you see a giveaway screenshot. The dated examples:
- 2 May 2023: the PayPal-is-back notice asked users to join the Discord to learn more about the offer.
- 15 December 2024: a holiday event drew 20 winners every 2 weeks from Discord participants, and asked entrants to share posts in a named channel.
- 11 February 2025: a Valentine's event ranked users by Discord invites, with a minimum of 2 invites.
- 14 March 2025: a spring event counted invites with an invite-tracker bot and reset earlier counts.
Two lessons follow. First, KakoBuy treats Discord as a marketing channel, so expect promotions there. Second, the prizes were credited to the KakoBuy account, which is why you should not buy "prize claims" from strangers. We suggest paying per order instead of leaving money with an agent.
Discord is where KakoBuy runs events; claim rewards inside your account, never through a stranger.
Help article 124: why many Reddit posts look alike
Help article 124 is addressed to people who want to earn from sharing. It advises a concise title, hashtags such as #kakobuy and #kakobuy haul for videos, and, for forum posts such as Reddit, using the "Share W2C" function in the completed-parcel list. That function generates a page with product titles, prices, purchase links and QC photos.
The article also says the shared purchase link automatically includes the poster's own commission link, so registrations or purchases through it earn the poster extra bonuses, and that a post which stays popular keeps earning. It points posters to the Promotion Alliance on the homepage for their link and QR code, and tells them to approach forum administrators or switch forums if a post is not reviewed.
None of this makes a haul post dishonest. It does explain why so many posts share the same layout, and why a post's strongest content is the photos and weights, not the sales language. Use our invitation code guide to see what a referral gives each side, and the coupon page for the pack rules.
A Reddit haul post may earn its author a commission; judge it by photos and numbers.
What to trust, and what to ignore
| Trust more | Ignore or report |
|---|---|
| A dated notice on kakobuy.com/tipdetail?id=N that you opened yourself | A screenshot of a notice with no link, or a link to a different domain |
| A server reached through the homepage link | An invite pasted in a comment, a DM or a bio |
| Rules that tell you to redeem in User Center | "Send me the order number and a small fee and I will release your prize" |
| Prices and weights you can reproduce on the estimator | A promise of free shipping with no conditions |
| Support through live chat or email on the real site | Any DM asking for a password, a code from your email or payment outside kakobuy.com |
Code-spam is the other pattern: threads filled with strings people hope will work. We print none, official or otherwise. Official codes appear in KakoBuy's announcements and its Discord, and they are redeemed at User Center, then Coupons, then Redeem. If the code fails there, no thread can fix it.
One more limit: we could not verify how KakoBuy marks staff in its Discord, so we cannot tell you which badge to look for. Use the rule that holds everywhere: staff do not DM first and never ask for passwords.
Trust what you reached through kakobuy.com; ignore anything that arrives uninvited.
Using the communities for a row check
Communities help most after you have a row, not before. Search the item name or ID on Reddit for photos and size comments, then open the row on kakobuy.com and compare the price and the estimated shipping yourself. KakoBuy's QC photo rules explain what warehouse photos cover, and the outage log tells you when a silent week on Discord is more than a quiet week.
If you would rather not open an agent account, scan the WhatsApp QR code on the contact page and pay per order. Otherwise keep your questions to the support chat on kakobuy.com, 8:00 to 20:00 Beijing time, since that is where an order can actually be changed.
Read communities for evidence, then check the order page before paying.
Questions buyers ask
Does KakoBuy have an official Discord?
Yes. KakoBuy's homepage links a Discord server, and its announcements have invited users to join it since May 2023. The official route is the link on kakobuy.com itself, not an invite pasted by a stranger in a comment or message. If a server asks for your login or a payment, leave it; staff will never need your password.
Is there an official KakoBuy subreddit?
We could not confirm one. KakoBuy's announcements say "follow Kakobuy's Reddit and Discord" (5 December 2023) and its help centre mentions sharing on Reddit, but no subreddit name or member count is published in the pages we read on 12 October 2026. Treat any figure quoted for a subreddit as unverified until you see it on the subreddit itself.
Are the haul posts on Reddit independent?
Not always. KakoBuy's help article 124 tells posters that the Share W2C function builds a post with prices, links and QC photos, and that the shared purchase link carries the poster's own commission link. A post can be honest and still earn the poster money. Read it for photos and weights, and compare prices yourself.
Can Discord staff fix my order for me?
No order can be fixed in a chat. KakoBuy's help centre lists customer service hours of 8:00 to 20:00 Beijing time and a live chat on the site. A Discord thread may point you to the right help article, but changes to an order, a refund or an insurance claim belong in your KakoBuy account and the support ticket there.
Why do I get DMs about KakoBuy coupons or orders?
Because scammers search public threads for people who mention an order. Official codes are announced on KakoBuy's announcement page and its Discord, never sold by DM. The 9 October 2026 Halloween notice describes a coupon pack redeemed in User Center, then Coupons. Anyone asking you to pay them outside kakobuy.com should be blocked and reported.
Do KakoBuy's Discord giveaways cost anything to enter?
KakoBuy's past events were free to enter. A December 2024 notice drew 20 winners every two weeks from Discord participants, and a February 2025 invite event needed at least 2 invites. Rewards were credited to the account. Never pay a fee to claim a prize; a real event asks you to join or post, not to send money.
