What the ¥1,300 pack is made of
The headline number is misleading in a useful way. "¥1,300 coupon pack" does not mean you receive ¥1,300 to spend. It means thirteen shipping coupons whose face values add up to ¥1,300, each locked behind a minimum shipping bill, plus an extra 10% off shipping coupon with no minimum. At ¥1 ≈ $0.14 the face value is about $182, but most buyers can use only the small tiers.
| Coupon | Count | Minimum shipping bill | Face value | Share of ¥1,300 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ¥300 | 1 | over ¥2,000 | ¥300 | 23.1% |
| ¥200 | 1 | over ¥1,500 | ¥200 | 15.4% |
| ¥150 | 1 | over ¥1,000 | ¥150 | 11.5% |
| ¥100 | 2 | over ¥800 | ¥200 | 15.4% |
| ¥80 | 3 | over ¥500 | ¥240 | 18.5% |
| ¥50 | 3 | over ¥300 | ¥150 | 11.5% |
| ¥30 | 2 | over ¥21 | ¥60 | 4.6% |
| Percentage coupon (10% off shipping) | 1 | none | 10% of the bill | on top |
Note the shape: half the face value (¥650) sits in the three highest coupons, which need a shipping bill over ¥1,000 to ¥2,000. A buyer shipping a single 1 kg parcel at $23.70 to $38.07 (the shipping page has the 1 kg quotes) pays roughly ¥170 to ¥270 and never touches them. Only a ¥30 coupon and the 10% coupon fit a bill that small.
Read the pack as thirteen conditional coupons, not ¥1,300 of spendable credit.
The monthly pattern, July to October 2026
The pack is not a one-off. Four months running, KakoBuy used identical tiers, with the same extra 10% coupon, and wrapped them in a short event.
| Event | Announced | Pack redeemable | 10% subsidy week | Subsidies expire | Flash sale (1% or more) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mid-Year Sale | 7 Jul | 8–31 Jul | 8–14 Jul | 31 Aug | 11–12 Jul |
| Back to School | 8 Aug | 9–31 Aug | 9–15 Aug | 30 Sep | 14–15 Aug |
| September Savings | 7 Sep | 8–30 Sep | 8–14 Sep | 31 Oct | 13–14 Sep |
| Halloween Fest | 9 Oct | 10–31 Oct | 10–16 Oct | 30 Nov | 15–16 Oct |
Each event also includes a referral round, which we cover in the invitation code guide. The rhythm gives you something concrete to plan with: if a pack ends on the 31st, buy shipping before then or you lose it, and the subsidy that arrives in the first half of the month carries into the next month.
A new pack has appeared every month since July; the window, not the code, is what you plan around.
How to redeem, and where codes come from
Redemption is the same each time, according to the October announcement: User Center, then Coupons, then Redeem. You enter the event's code and the coupons are credited to your account. KakoBuy announces those codes on its announcements page and in its Discord. We do not print them, because they belong to a single event and a copied one will be dead soon. If a site or video shows you a code with no event name and no date, skip it.
- Log in on kakobuy.com.
- Open User Center and select Coupons.
- Choose Redeem and enter the code from KakoBuy's current announcement.
- When you pay for a parcel's shipping, select the coupon that fits the bill.
New accounts are advertised a larger "¥3000 (about $410)" coupon bundle on the homepage; that is a separate sign-up offer and does not stop you redeeming monthly packs. See the how to use KakoBuy guide for the whole first-order flow.
User Center, Coupons, Redeem; take the code from KakoBuy's own announcement.
Stacking: what is confirmed and what is not
KakoBuy's event notes make two statements. Shipping discounts "can be combined with coupons and promo codes", and the sitewide subsidy is 10% on eligible products. Together those mean the subsidy plus a coupon can reduce one bill.
What KakoBuy does not say is whether two coupons can apply to one parcel, or whether the subsidy is calculated before or after the coupon. Until you see your own checkout screen, assume one coupon per parcel, and treat any combined saving as an upper bound. The announcements say the subsidy shows on product pages and is applied automatically at checkout, so you do not claim it by code.
Subsidy plus one coupon is confirmed; two coupons on one parcel is not.
Worked example: a ¥620 shipping bill
Suppose a hypothetical parcel's international shipping comes to ¥620 (about $86.80, an example figure). Which coupon applies? Check each tier against the minimum.
Eligible: ¥80 (bill over ¥500), ¥50 (over ¥300), ¥30 (over ¥21), and 10% (no minimum) = ¥62
Not eligible: ¥100 (needs over ¥800), ¥150, ¥200 and ¥300
Best single coupon: ¥80, because ¥80 > ¥62; bill becomes ¥620 − ¥80 = ¥540, a 12.9% saving ($75.60)
With the 10% shipping subsidy as well, if both apply to the full bill: ¥620 − ¥80 − ¥62 = ¥478, a 22.9% saving ($66.92)
The lesson is to match tier to bill: the ¥80 coupon is worth saving for a bill of ¥500 or more, and a ¥300 parcel does not clear its minimum. For a small bill the order flips: on a ¥169 parcel ($23.70) the ¥30 coupon saves 17.8% against 10% (¥16.90) from the percentage coupon. For all other costs on the bill see KakoBuy fees.
Pick the largest coupon whose minimum your bill clears, then check the 10% one.
Things that look like coupons but are not
A free return or exchange is a rule, not a coupon. KakoBuy's help centre says non-Prime users get the first return and first exchange each calendar month without the tiered fee (later returns cost ¥5, ¥10 or ¥20, exchanges ¥10, ¥20 or ¥40), within 5 days of stock-in. The refunds and returns page covers it. Likewise the 1% flash sale (15 and 16 October 2026) cuts product prices, not shipping. And a coupon pack is not cash: it only applies to shipping. If you would rather pay per order than hold credit, do that; coupons expire with their events anyway. Not sure which offer you have? Message us through the QR code on our contact page.
Coupons cut shipping only; returns, flash sales and referral rewards are separate things.
Questions buyers ask
What is in KakoBuy's ¥1,300 coupon pack?
Thirteen fixed shipping coupons and one 10% coupon. The fixed ones are one ¥300 (shipping over ¥2,000), one ¥200 (over ¥1,500), one ¥150 (over ¥1,000), two ¥100 (over ¥800), three ¥80 (over ¥500), three ¥50 (over ¥300) and two ¥30 (over ¥21). Together they total ¥1,300 in face value, about $182, but they only apply to shipping.
Can KakoBuy coupons be stacked?
KakoBuy's event notes say shipping discounts can be combined with coupons and promo codes. The sitewide shipping subsidy is 10% on eligible products and stacks with a coupon. KakoBuy does not say whether two coupons can apply to one parcel, so assume one per parcel and plan around that rather than the best case.
Where do I redeem a KakoBuy coupon pack?
Open your User Center, choose Coupons, then Redeem, and enter the code that KakoBuy announces for the event. The code comes from KakoBuy's announcements page or Discord, not from this site, which prints none. The coupons then sit in your account until you pay for a parcel's shipping, when you choose which one to apply.
How often does KakoBuy release a coupon pack?
Monthly in 2026. KakoBuy announced a pack on 7 July, 8 August, 7 September and 9 October, each with a redemption window of roughly three weeks, ending 31 July, 31 August, 30 September and 31 October. The structure stayed the same each time. Expect another after 31 October, but KakoBuy has not promised one.
Do KakoBuy coupons work on item prices?
No. Every coupon in the pack is a shipping coupon, applied when you pay for international shipping, not at checkout for the item. The only item-level offer in the October event is a flash sale taking at least 1% off products on 15 and 16 October 2026. Plan to use a coupon on a parcel that meets the minimum.
Is a free return or exchange a coupon?
No, it is a rule. KakoBuy's help centre says non-Prime users get the first return and the first exchange of each calendar month without a service fee; later ones cost from ¥5 to ¥40 by tier. It is separate from the coupon pack and does not use up a coupon, but the 5-day window after stock-in still applies.
