The 8% question, worked through
Two official USFans pages give opposite answers. The help page says there is no service fee on regular platforms; the Service Terms say 8% on the platform price and 8% on forwarding. Because we cannot tell which governs, here is the worst case, using a hypothetical ¥200 item (about $28) and the $23.70 KakoBuy's estimator quoted for 1,000 g to Germany on 12 October 2026 as a stand-in shipping figure.
8% on item: ¥200 × 0.08 = ¥16, about $2.24
8% on forwarding: $23.70 × 0.08 = $1.90
Worst-case extra: $2.24 + $1.90 = about $4.14
KakoBuy, whose help page names no handling fee, would add nothing here. The fee is modest on one light parcel but scales with a big haul.
Plan for 8% until the checkout shows zero.
USFans against KakoBuy on the other terms
Label on our agents hub: Open, because the homepage answered on 12 October 2026. The operator is named as HONG KONG ZAN ZAN TRADING LIMITED.
| Term | USFans | KakoBuy |
|---|---|---|
| Service fee | None (help page) or 8% (terms) | None; customs generally ¥8 |
| Forwarding fee | 8% (terms) | Shipping line price only |
| Free storage | 90 days | 100 days |
| Standard QC photos | 3, public | Count not published |
| Detailed photos | ¥1 each, up to 20 | ¥2 each |
| Trustpilot | Score withdrawn, 789 reviews | 4.2, 321 reviews |
Cheaper photos at USFans, but a possible 8% on two lines.
Rebuilding a KakoBuy row as a USFans link
USFans uses the pattern usfans.com/product/N/ID. Take the item number from the marketplace address, which our link converter will extract from a KakoBuy link.
| Marketplace | USFans code | HooBuy code (for contrast) |
|---|---|---|
| Weidian | 3 | 2 |
| Taobao | 2 | 1 |
| 1688 | 1 | 0 |
The codes differ between agents, so a link copied from a HooBuy-based sheet would open the wrong marketplace at USFans. See the HooBuy page for its own pattern.
Use the code for this agent only; never reuse another agent's numbers.
Who should use it as a spare
- Suits: a buyer who wants cheap detailed photos on items that need close checks.
- Suits: someone willing to read the terms and confirm the fee at checkout.
- Does not suit: a buyer who wants a fixed fee schedule up front, or who needs a visible review score.
Use it for photo-heavy rows when the fee shows zero on screen.
Duty and shipping notes
If the 8% applies, it is a platform charge separate from customs. US duty-free treatment ended in 2025, and KakoBuy's April 2025 notice says its tax-free US routes cost about $5 to $10 more per package than regular routes; see our USA page. We have no USFans line prices. If you want to compare storage first, our storage page explains KakoBuy's clock. For help choosing, the contact page has a WhatsApp QR; pay per order.

Questions buyers ask
Does USFans charge a service fee or not?
Its own pages disagree. The help page says there is no service fee on regular platforms; the Service Terms state an 8% platform fee and an 8% charge on forwarding. We read both on 6 October 2026 and cannot say which governs. Assume the terms apply until a checkout shows otherwise, and screenshot the order summary.
What is the USFans link format?
Product pages follow usfans.com/product/N/ID, where N is 3 for Weidian, 2 for Taobao and 1 for 1688, and ID is the marketplace item number. Careful: HooBuy uses a different code order, with 1 for Taobao and 2 for Weidian, so never reuse a numeric link between agents. Rebuild each from the item number.
How much do USFans photos cost against KakoBuy's?
USFans lists detailed photos at ¥1 each, up to 20 per item, and three standard photos are public. KakoBuy charges ¥2 per personalised photo. Twenty extra photos would cost ¥20 (about $2.80) at USFans and ¥40 (about $5.60) at KakoBuy, using ¥1 ≈ $0.14, though few items need that many.
Is USFans' Trustpilot score missing?
Yes. Trustpilot had withdrawn the score for USFans by 6 October 2026 while listing 789 reviews, up from 748 the day before in our earlier note. KakoBuy showed 4.2 from 321 reviews on 12 October. With no score to lean on, read recent reviews and start with one inexpensive row, paying per order.
How long does USFans store items?
USFans is listed with 90 days of free storage in our notes, against KakoBuy's 100 days from the in-storage status. We found no USFans extension price in what we read. Treat 90 days as the deadline, submit the parcel well before it, and compare with the KakoBuy clock explained on our storage page.
Is USFans only for US buyers?
Nothing in our notes limits it to the United States, and the name is not a restriction we could find. Customs still depends on your country: the US ended its $800 duty-free level in 2025, and EU parcels up to €150 carry a flat €3 duty per tariff category from 1 July 2026. Ask USFans for an estimate to your address.
