What is left of WeGoBuy
There is no live service to rescue, only text in files. Here is the whole record we hold.
| Date | What we found |
|---|---|
| Early 2025 | Went offline (as recorded in our status notes) |
| 26 Jul 2025 | Newest Trustpilot review we saw; score 1.9 from 19 reviews |
| 6 Oct 2026 | Address pointed to an offline CDN address |
| 12 Oct 2026 | No response |
Terms such as storage days and fees were not captured before it disappeared, so we state none. Nothing here gives you a route back into an account.
Closed, with no terms to cite and no support route to try.
Auditing a row from a 2025-or-older sheet
- Find the marketplace address in the row: a Taobao, Weidian or 1688 link. We have no confirmed WeGoBuy wrapper pattern, so ignore the wrapper.
- Open it. A removed listing, a different title or a changed shop means the row is dead.
- Paste live ones into the KakoBuy link converter.
- Compare KakoBuy's current CNY price with the sheet. Prices in files this old are guesses about today.
- Write survivors into the row-check CSV with the date you checked.
Expect to drop most of an old sheet; the survivors are the value.
Old sheet, new customs rules
The sheet's cost notes belong to a different regime. Update them before you decide a row is cheap.
| Market | Now |
|---|---|
| United States | $800 de minimis ended for China/Hong Kong goods in May 2025 and worldwide on 29 Aug 2025 |
| EU (Germany, Spain) | €150 exemption gone from 1 Jul 2026; temporary €3 duty per tariff category; import VAT from the first euro |
| United Kingdom | VAT up to £135 collected at sale; duty relief expected to end by October 2028 |
| Canada | Free of duty and tax up to CAD 20 only; beyond that, GST/HST and any duty apply to the whole value |
KakoBuy's help page id=69 still lists the old thresholds, so ignore that table. For Canada, the estimator returned $23.49 at 1,000 g on the Canada HD Line, listed at 7–18 days, on 12 October 2026; the Canada page covers brokerage.
Re-price every row with today's duty, not the sheet's.
Balances, parcels and look-alike domains
If you left money or goods at WeGoBuy, assume the chance of getting them back is low and avoid spending more on it. Check your card or PayPal for the payment date, ask the provider if a dispute window still applies, and keep the receipts. Beware pages that reuse the name and ask you to log in; type nothing there. If you reused the old password anywhere, change it.
Do not chase a vanished agent with new money.
Where the rows go next
KakoBuy states no handling fee beyond item cost, shipping and customs, a declaration of generally ¥8, and 100 days of free storage; our legitimacy check shows its Trustpilot 4.2 from 321 reviews and a three-company ownership picture. If you want a second agent with a different payment mix, see HooBuy. The agents hub lists every label.
Rebuy the survivors at KakoBuy and keep a second agent in reserve.
Questions buyers ask
Is WeGoBuy coming back?
We found nothing saying so. Its web address pointed to an offline CDN address when we looked on 6 October 2026, nothing responded on 12 October, and the newest Trustpilot review we saw was dated 26 July 2025. Planning around a return would be guessing. Treat WeGoBuy as gone and move whatever rows you still want to an agent that is open today.
Why are WeGoBuy links still in spreadsheets?
Because sheets are copied from older sheets, and nobody removes the dead agent column. A row created in 2024 can still sit in a file edited last month. That is why the date on the sheet matters more than its length: prices, stock and even the seller may have changed since the original author saved it.
Can I recover a balance or parcel from WeGoBuy?
We know of no working contact route, so we cannot name one, and we found no published refund process. If you paid by card or PayPal, ask that provider whether a dispute is still possible for your payment date; it may not be. Keep the receipts. Do not trust a site that merely reuses the name.
Will a site calling itself WeGoBuy be the same company?
Not necessarily. The original domain was not responding, and a different domain using the same name proves nothing about ownership or safety. Check who runs it, how long the domain has existed, and whether it asks for payment before showing any terms. If you cannot tell, buy the same listing through KakoBuy using the original marketplace link.
Do the duty assumptions in an old sheet still hold?
Probably not. The US $800 duty-free rule stopped applying to China-origin goods on 2 May 2025, then to every country from 29 August 2025. The EU's €150 exemption ended for B2C parcels on 1 July 2026, with a flat €3 duty per tariff category. A sheet written before then may promise costs that no longer apply.
How do I check an old row quickly?
Open the marketplace listing itself: is it live, is the title the same, and is the price near the sheet's figure? Then open the same item in KakoBuy's item/details?url= page, which shows the current CNY price and an estimated shipping cost. Rows that fail either check are cheaper to drop than to buy.
