When an agent with a stated fee still earns a place
Many agents on our agents hub advertise no service fee. EastMallBuy is different: its service agreement says 8%. It is labelled Open because its homepage answered on 12 October 2026, and it is worth a look only if its shipping quote undercuts KakoBuy's by more than the fee.
- Suits: an unpaid row where EastMallBuy's shipping quote is clearly lower.
- Suits: a buyer paying with UnionPay who cannot use KakoBuy's options.
- Does not suit: light, cheap parcels, where 8% on two lines erodes any saving.
Choose it on a lower quote, never on convenience.

Open, with a stated fee and a very small review base.
The 8% in dollars
These figures are an example, not a quote. Take a hypothetical $28 item (about ¥200) and use KakoBuy's estimator price of $23.70 for 1,000 g to Germany on 12 October 2026 (Europe DHL Line, no dimensions) as a stand-in for shipping. EastMallBuy's own line prices were not in our sources.
Item $28.00 + shipping $23.70 = $51.70
8% of $28.00 = $2.24; 8% of $23.70 = $1.90 (rounded)
Fee total about $4.14, so $51.70 + $4.14 = $55.84
That is 8% more than the $51.70 base. For the same basket KakoBuy lists no handling fee, only item, shipping and a customs declaration of generally ¥8. The KakoBuy fees page lists its optional charges.
EastMallBuy must save more than 8% to come out ahead.

Duty, VAT and the UK or EU parcel
The destination sets the tax, and an 8% agent fee comes on top of it, not instead. EU parcels carry import VAT from the first euro and a flat €3 duty per tariff category up to €150 since 1 July 2026; KakoBuy says it charges €3 per parcel and adds it to shipping. UK VAT up to £135 is collected at checkout by the seller. Our Germany page sets out the KakoBuy lines, and we could not verify EastMallBuy's equivalents.

Questions buyers ask
How much extra does EastMallBuy's 8% fee add to an order?
Its service agreement names 8% of the goods price and 8% of the shipping. On a hypothetical $28 item with $23.70 shipping, the fee is $2.24 plus $1.90, about $4.14, taking the total from $51.70 to $55.84. KakoBuy says it charges no handling fee, so the same order has no such line there.
Does EastMallBuy have a link format for KakoBuy rows?
Third-party tools give eastmallbuy.com/index/item/index.html?url= followed by the encoded marketplace address. A kakobuy.com link cannot be pasted into that slot unchanged. Decode the Taobao, Weidian or 1688 address first, or use our converter, then check that the item page shows the same photo and price as your spreadsheet row, and do not trust links sent in chats.
Is EastMallBuy still operating?
Its homepage answered on 12 October 2026 and we found no closure report, so it carries our Open label. But Trustpilot showed 3.4 from only 8 reviews on 5 October 2026, the newest dated 9 November 2025. A low count is thin evidence either way, so use one cheap order as a test.
Which payment methods does EastMallBuy accept?
Its pages list PayPal, VISA, Alipay and UnionPay. KakoBuy's help centre names PayPal, Alipay, WeChat Pay and Wise. PayPal is the overlap. If you use PayPal on either, remember the fee is added by the payment side too, and we suggest paying per order rather than leaving money on an account.
How long can items sit at EastMallBuy?
EastMallBuy states 90 days of free storage, and we did not find an extension price. KakoBuy gives 100 days, a reminder email at day 90, then a 30-day cooling-off period with extensions at ¥10 per order per 30 days. With a split haul across both agents, the EastMallBuy deadline comes first, so log it.
When is it not worth moving a row to EastMallBuy?
When the saving is smaller than the fee. With 8% on both goods and shipping, EastMallBuy needs a shipping quote at least that much lower than KakoBuy's to break even. Rows already bought by KakoBuy cannot move at all. Check the original marketplace listing is live before you pay anyone.
